40-year old farmer gunned down in UP; incident occurred in Ghari village

A 40-year-old farmer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Ghari village, police said.

"Upender, a farmer, had gone to his fields where some unidentified miscreants came and shot him. He died on the spot," said Alok Priyadershi, Superintendent of Police (Rural).The police said that they were still searching for the attackers.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered and Upender's body has been sent for postmortem.
