Four labourers were shot and killed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi campus in Himachal Pradesh, after a brawl occurred between two groups of workers.

Four labourers were shot and killed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi campus in Himachal Pradesh, after a brawl occurred between two groups of workers.
The victims originally from Punjab, were working on the campus, at the time, according to a preliminary report.
The brawl reportedly occurred due to a labour dispute between some of the workers who were on a strike over wages.
Reports reveal that members from one of the groups wanted the rest of the labourers to join them in the strike.
It has also been reported that 9 people were injured, during the incident while three vehicles were burned.
Kashmir Singh Thakur, CITU general secretary revealed to reporters that the victims were allegedly killed by a hired gunmen , who was hired by contractor Rajiv Sharma.
