Nearly a month after acquittal in '2G scam' case in trial court, former UnionTelecom Minister A Raja is coming out with a tell-all memoir in which he is likely to make a few revelations that would ruffle some feathers. In the book, titled '2G Saga Unfolds', Raja targets former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai for making a monstrous claim of Rs 1.76 lakh crore loss to the exchequer in 2 Spectrum auction.

He, however, reserves the sharpest remarks for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who he accuses of not standing by him when the allegations of wrongdoing surfaced. Raja writes that Manmohan Singh’s silence was like “silencing of our nation’s collective conscience.”

The book about alleged 2G spectrum allocation scam in 2007-2008 will be released on January 20.

Here are some of the major revelations made by A Raja in his book:

'Manmohan had no knowledge of CBI raids'

Raja claims that Manmohan Singh did not have any knowledge of the CBI raids on Telecom Ministry in 2009.

"On October 22, 2009 (after CBI raided telecom ministry and offices of some telecom operators) I met the Prime Minister in his office in South Block at around 7:00 pm. TKA Nair (the then principal secretary in the PMO) was also present. People will find it hard to believe that the PM was quite surprised when I told him about the CBI raids,” Raja claims in the book.

'Manmohan Singh's words wounded me'

Raja claims that he fought against telecom lobbies to draft a spectrum auction policy as the telecom minister in UPA government. One day, as the policy draft was in its final stages, Raja received a letter from the PMO. The contents of the letter matched with the business interests of the telecom lobbies, he claims.

Raja says he felt wounded by the words used by Dr. Singh in the said letter.

He writes that seeing the letter made him wonder whether the letter was indeed drafted by the PMO. "It is still a puzzle to me as to what could have prompted the PM to send that letter to me. With all due respect, I am of the opinion that such a letter bearing the PM’s signature should never have been sent,” he writes.

'PM offered me tea, I handed him my resignation letter'

Recalling the night when he submitted his resignation, Raja writes, "I came to Delhi from Chennai on the evening of the 14th of November. When I landed in Delhi around 9.00 pm, T.R. Baalu informed me that I could resign as per the advice of our party leader. While on the way to my official residence 2A, Motilal Nehru Marg I sought an appointment with the PM.

"I called in my PA, prepared my resignation letter and then went to the PM’s residence. The Prime Minister appeared to be gloomy and perturbed. He offered me tea and I handed him my resignation letter."
