Special Public Prosecutor in 2G case on Wednesday filed his report before the Supreme Court on the controversy arising out of CBI Director Ranjit Sinha's residence guest list which purportedly showed that the top cop had frequent meetings with several accused in 2G and Coal blocks allocation scams.

Appearing before a bench headed by Chief Justice H L Dattu, prosecutor Anand Grover submitted that two reports including one in a sealed envelope have been filed in the court which is likely to hear the case tomorrow.

The apex court had on September 22 sought the assistance of the prosecutor, appointed by it for trial in 2G cases, saying that any order passed by it may have ramifications on multi-crore scam cases.

It has agreed to hear the plea of NGO Centre for Public Interest Litigation which pleaded for recall of its earlier order asking it to reveal the name of the whistleblower in a sealed envelope.

The court had directed that all documents, including CBI files and the visitors' list register pertaining to the allegations against the top cop, be handed over to Grover, who will go through all the information to assist the court.
