20% water cut in some parts of city for 24 hours

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be carrying out work for improvement of water supply system under the Maroshi-Ruparel water tunnel project and allied repair work on 96" diameter Vaitarna main between Powai to Sahar on June 2 at 10am for a period of 24 hours. It is expected to be completed by the next day. During the execution of this work, there will be 20% water cut in 'A', 'C', 'D', 'G' North,'G' South and portions of 'B' & 'E' wards in island city and 'H'/East & 'K'/East wards in the western suburbs. The water pressure will be lower than normal.
