However, police took them inside the hospital where they were given treatment. The condition of three of them was stated to be critical and they were referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, they said.
Meanwhile, Nainital district administration has ordered an inquiry into the matter. They were agitating over the last two months demanding regularisation of their jobs.
