2 NDRF officials injured in accident

Two National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were today injured when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car in Kavi Nagar area here.

Two National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were today injured when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car in Kavi Nagar area here.

The victims have been identified as Puran Singh Chand (35) and Sanjay Singh (29). The incident took place around 7.15 AM this morning when the duo was returning their homes after attending their parade, police said.

"When Puran and Sanjay reached near CBI Academy, a speeding car, which was coming from Hapur, hit their motorcycle. The impact was so hard that the duo were thrown about 25 feet up in the air," a senior police officer said.

After the incident, Puran and Sanjay were rushed to a nearby hospital. They have suffered injuries on their heads, hands and legs, were recuperating with their injuries.

"We have registered a case against accused driver, identified as Sushant Sharma. He was later arrested and investigation was on," he added.
