The belongings of two Border Security Force personnel – including their clothes – were stolen from Old Delhi Railway Station on Saturday morning, and were recovered a few hours later.

The police said that the two personnel – Sub Inspector Sudhakar and constable Imtiyaz – were asleep in the dormitory on Friday night at the station along with seven others.

"When they woke up early morning, they discovered that their belongings had been stolen. Sudhakar lost his wallet and mobile phone, which was on his bedside, while Imtiyaz's bag was missing," the officer said.

The men alerted the officers following which a case of theft was registered and police initiated a probe. However, a few hours later, a call came that the stolen articles were found lying in Yoga Express. "The train had reached Muzaffarnagar, and the concerned authorities then brought them back," a police officer said.
