2 arrested in connection with murder of 26-yr-old man

Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old man who was shot dead allegedly during the birthday celebration of his son at Bhokaheri village here, police said today.

The victim's father-in-law Rajesh and brother-in-law Pardeep were arrested by the police yesterday.

The incident took place on July 18 night when Naseem was returning home after buying a cake for his son, who had turned one, a police official had said.

Four persons were booked in this connection. The other two suspects were identified as Sonu and Nitin, also the brothers-in-law of the victim. A case had been filed against all the four suspects.

According to police, Naseem had eloped with a girl from a different community in 2015.
