17-year-old boy found murdered in Uttar Pradesh, rape suspected

A 17-year-old boy, who was missing since Saturday, was found strangled to death at Monna village, Uttar Pradesh according to police who suspect that he was sexually assaulted.

D K Mittal, Deputy Superintendent of Police on Monday said the victim Amit Kumar, a class 10 student, was found in a sugarcane field on Sunday and is suspected of being sodomised before being murdered.

A case has been registered and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
