15-year-old girl raped in her own house at gunpoint

 A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint by a youth at her house in Kitas village of the district, police said today.

According to police, Sudhir along with two of his associates -- Dharmender and Chotu -- barged into the victim's house when she was alone at home yesterday.

Sudhir raped her while his two accomplices guarded the door, they said.

A case has been registered against the three absconding accused, police said, adding that they had also allegedly threatened the girl to withdraw her case.

In another case, a woman's body was found near here and is suspected to have been strangulated to death, police said.

Investigations are in progress. The woman is yet to be identified, they said.
