14-year-old allegedly raped by her cousins in Rohini

A 14-year-old was allegedly raped by her two cousins as they held her 11-year-old sister on gun-point in outer Delhi's Sultanpuri area on June 6. The accused, who threatened to kill the girls before they left, have been on the run since.

The victim and her younger sister had come to Rohini from Moradabad to attend a wedding.

The children were visiting their grandparents when they decided to extend their stay as their schools; summer break was on.

The family had gone to visit an ailing relative in Sector 20 of North West Delhi's Rohini area at the time of the incident.

The two accused had visited the girls at around midnight. According to the police, one of them allegedly touched the elder girl inappropriately. When both girls objected, the younger girl was held by the second accused at gunpoint. 

The two accused then allegedly took turns to rape the elder sister.

"Seeing her sister in danger, the younger one kept quiet. The girl told the police that her brothers did wrong things with her. She also stated that they should be given harsh punishment so that no brother does this to his sister,"a police officer said.

The victim narrated her ordeal when her relatives returned home after which the police was informed. "A case under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sultanpuri police station. Further investigation is underway. The accused are on the run but we will trace them soon," a senior police officer said.
