Talks between the agitating farmers and the government held at Jaipur remained inconclusive even on the thirteenth day of the agitation. Meanwhile several districts reeled under the blockades put up by farmers on highways. The farmers have announced that the sit-in would continue till an agreement was reached.

They have reached on an agreement on 10 of their demands, however, deadlock continues on the issue of loan waiver.

The public is now facing the heat as farmers' chakka jam continued on the third day on Wednesday. Farmers have blocked completely blocked the Jaipur Bikaner highway. The districts where highways are largely blocked include Sikar, Bikaner, Nagaur, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Jhunjhunu.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for farmers at the points where they are agitating. They indulge in dancing and singing on songs that have specially prepared for the agitation. These songs glorify the Amraram and Pemaram the two former legislators, who are leading the agitation. Food is being supplied to them.

On the other hand life has turned difficult for the people in Sikar, where farmers have enforced a total ban on the entry of vehicles, including basic necessities. People are compelled to buy essentials at highly escalated prices. They are purchasing milk at Rs 100 per litre and vegetable for more than double the normal rates. Many petrol pumps in Sikar have dried out.

Meanwhile next round of talks will be held in Jaipur on Thursday.
