10 out of 11 Shiv Sena MPs who allegedly forced feed a Muslim caterer at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi have criminal charges against them. According to data accessed from Association for Democratic Reforms some of these MPs have serious charges of murder and homicide against them. This is though hardly surprising as 15 of the 18 MPs of Shiv Sena in the Lok Sabha have criminal cases against them with 8 accused of criminal charges of serious nature.
Thane MP Rajan Vichare who has been clearly caught in camera force feeding the Muslim caterer for serving inferior quality of food has 13 cases against him including charges of voluntarily causing hurt to deter public service from duty, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, criminal intimidation, rioting etc. Sanjay Raut, who is a member of Rajya Sabha has 14 cases registered against him! This incident is in all likelihood another instance when Shiv Sena MPs had flirted with the boundaries of law. Ravindra Gaikwad- Number of criminal cases-8 ( Charges include voluntarily causing hurt to deter public service from duty, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, criminal intimidation, rioting etc.)
Vinayak Raut- Number of criminal cases 5 ( Charges include voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, rioting, act endangering life or personal safety of others etc.)
Shivaji Adhalrao- Number of criminal cases 10 ( charges related to attempt of murder, criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from duty)
Dr shrikant shinde- No criminal charges.
