Top national leaders have paid rich tributes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and hailed her for being powerful voice for the weaker sections.

The 67-year-old leader, who suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday evening, passed away at 11:30 pm on Monday, after battling for life for 75 days, the Apollo Hospitals said in a statement.

President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and various other top leaders tonight condoled Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's demise and paid glowing tributes to her.
