Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa and AIADMK chief died on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest and leaving behind thousands of supporters distraught in grief.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa died on Monday at 11.30 pm after a cardiac arrest. She was 67-years-old.
The ailing chief minister of Tamil Nadu state, Jayalalithaa Jayaram, was hospitalised for the last few months in Chennai in Apollo Hospital. She has suffered a cardiac arrest only days after she handed many of her responsibilities to a deputy because of illness
Jayalalithaa, who had been in hospital for almost 75 days, was said to be recovering from a pulmonary infection but suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, drawing hordes of supporters and party members outside the gates of the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai.
