Ayodhya: 'Ramarchan Puja' - a prayer to invite all major gods and goddesses, has started at Ram Janambhoomi site, ahead foundation laying ceremony of Ram Temple on August 5

There are four phases of Ramarchan pooja. In 1st phase gods other than Lord Ram will be worshipped. In the 2nd phase,  Ayodhya will be worshipped along with Lord Ram's generals like Nal, Neel and Sugreev: Satyanarayan Das

The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5.

The construction of the Ram temple will begin after the ceremony to lay the foundation stone.

The Supreme Court had in November last year ruled in the favour of a temple after a prolonged battle in the Babri Masjid dispute case.

Besides Lord Rama, prayers are also being offered to King Dasharatha, Queen Kaushalya during 'Ram Archana'. Special prayers are also being held for all those who helped Lord Ram during the epic war with the demon king 'Ravana' like - Hanuman, Nal & Neel, Sugriva, Jamwant and Vibhishan.

Ram Archana starts at Ram Janmabhoomi campus at 8:30 am. The religious ceremonies started with offering special prayers to Lord Hanuman at Hanumangarhi as a part of an old tradition of ‘Nishan Puja’ in Hindu rituals.
