West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee alleged during her visit to Bankura district that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was having lunch only for cameras at a tribal BJP worker's house. As the Bengal fight intensified, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee targeted Union Minister Amit Shah, calling the senior BJP leader's lunch at the home of a tribal party worker in Bankura district a photo-op. Mamta Banerjee attacked Amit Shah during his visit to the region, during a visit to Khatra in Bankura.

Mamta Banerjee said that Amit Shah's visit to Bankura was only a public event. Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee arrived in the district on Sunday, a few days after the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during which she dined at the home of a tribal family.
At an event in Bankura, Mamata Banerjee claimed that TMC would return to power in Bengal. "Our government will stay in Bengal, and we will further extend the period of free ration," said the CM.
"We have taken good care of our people, announced free rations till June. False accusations will not last long. "
Targeting the BJP, Mamta Banerjee said, "Amit Shah is giving false assurances. People have understood this. "
