Coronavirus Outbreak: India reports 41,322 new cases, tally crosses 93.51 lakh

As many as 41,322 new COVID-19 cases and 485 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours.

With over 41,000 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 count on Saturday (November 28) crossed the 93 lakh-mark, while the death toll has topped the 1.36 lakh-mark as well.

At 9:30 AM on this day, the COVID-19 tally in the country has reached 93,51,110 cases, which include 4,54,940 active cases; 87,59,969 cured, discharged, or migrated patients, and 1,36,200 deaths.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as many as 41,322 new COVID-19 cases and 485 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours.

Total coronavirus cases in the worst-hit state of Maharashtra have crossed the 18.8-lakh mark.

Maharashtra is followed by Karnataka with 8,81,086 cases. The state crossed Andhra Pradesh to take up second place in the list due to a recent massive surge in the number of cases.

Andhra Pradesh is third on the list with 8,66,438 cases.

After AP comes Tamil Nadu, where the COVID-19 figure stands at 7,77,616 cases with 7,54,826 patients recovered, and 11,681 fatalities. Uttar Pradesh has reported 5,37,747 cases of which 5,04,411 have recovered and 7,697 patients are dead.

Delhi has reported 5,56,744 positive cases so far of which 5,09,654 patients have recovered and 8,909 patients have lost their lives due to the virus. In West Bengal, as many as 4,73,987 people have confirmed COVID-19.

In Kerala, which reported the country's first COVID-19 case, 5,87,708 people have been detected positive for coronavirus so far.

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has informed that 13,70,62,749 samples have been tested up to November 28 for COVID-19. Out of these, 11,31,204 samples were tested yesterday.
