Maker Tower fire: Bajaj family rescued, two servants die

Two persons were killed on Monday morning after a major fire broke out in a residential building in posh south Mumbai.

As per preliminary information, the 20th floor flat, in which the fire broke out, belongs to the family of industrialist that owns the Bajaj Group, Chief Fire Officer, Mumbai Fire Brigade, P S Rahangdale said.

"We have rescued around 11 people, while the two seriously injured servants were sent to government-run St. George Hospital where they were declared dead before admission," he added.

The situation is under control now and are investigating the reason for fire," he added.

Eight fire-tending vehicles were rushed to the spot.
