Vivekananda-Dawood row: Was Nitin Gadkari wrong?

All hell has broken loose following Nitin Gadkari's statement allegedly drawing a comparison between Swami Vivekananda and Dawood Ibrahim. Explaining that it wasn't enough to be gifted and it was more important what you did with your gifts, the BJP president said both the sage and the terrorist were highly intelligent men, but while one used his brains to work for the welfare of his countrymen, the other directed his energies towards criminal activity.
