You have waived farmers’ loans, how will you accommodate them in the budget?

We have provided for farmers’ loan waivers worth Rs 36,000 crore. We have told the banks not to send recovery notices to any farmer who fall in the March 31, 2016 slab. We have almost finished this process, the lists are being sent to the banks. We will provide the required sum to the banks after the budget is passed. I believe our farmers can increase production by three or four times if taught new farming techniques. We can confidently say the burden of the farm loan waivers will not fall on the people, there will be no new taxes, and we will not let development projects lag behind.

Why is it said that the PMO has your remote control?

The Central government does not interfere in the matters of the state. The state government and cabinet of ministers is acting in the best interests of the state. We do take advice when we need it, I have personally gone to the national president and the Prime Minister for advice. The culture of the state has been destroyed in the last fifteen years. The state that should have been the most prosperous one in the country is in dire straits. So, we take advice.

Will your candidate for the Presidential election win?

We are fortunate because we have given a president to the nation. It is for the first time that the president will hail from Uttar Pradesh. It is a matter of pride for Uttar Pradesh and its villages, farmers, its poor, and its Dalits.

There is still a trust deficit among the minorities for your government. What have you done to address this issue?

We have said that we will not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed or sex. We have tried to prevent discrimination in these 100 days. Those who wish to blame us, still, will do so.

In Gujarat, the PM said goondaism in the guise of gau raksha will not be tolerated.

I do not think anyone should take the law in their own hands when the government is working. We will not prosecute any innocent, but neither will we spare any form of mafia.

I have heard that you’ve taken a vow that you will unfurl the saffron flag in Patna too?

We want Bharatiya Janata Party governments in every state. It will make easy the Prime Minister’s dream of making India an global superpower.

You spoke of improving the law and order situation, and you’ve brought in a new DG?

We have resolved to make Uttar Pradesh a crime-free state. We will appoint the best person for the job.
