The BJP claims you are running from them and hence chose to contest from Badami along with Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru.

I am not running anywhere. My party and I are free to contest from anywhere. In fact, it is the other way around. No matter where I go, I find the BJP trying to follow us. I can understand their predicament.

Between Badami and Chamundeshwari, which seat are you more confident of?

I'm confident that we'll win with a significant majority in both seats. Voters will show the BJP that I have the blessings of both goddesses — Chamundeshwari and Banashankari (local goddesses of the two constituencies).

Badami has the potential to be on the world heritage map, but it lacks even basic infrastructure like roads and connectivity.

Our incentives have helped bring several hoteliers to the region. But I understand that a lot more can be done. My government is committed to improve the condition here.

Badami is facing severe drought for the over a decade and there is a huge shortage of water for both drinking and irrigation.

There are river restoration projects that our government is considering to help bring water to Badami, but these are caught in disputes and controversies with other states. Mahadayi is an example. We could easily get some of that water for this region. If the Prime Minister desires, he can call both the CMs and resolve the issue. The BJP candidate should explain why the PM is not doing that.
