Three CMs occupying govt bungalows in capital

Three Chief Ministers are occupying government bungalows in the capital, Rajya Sabha was informed today. Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan, Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh and Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat are occupying 11 Race Course Road, 1 Jantar Mantar Road and 9 Teen Murti Lane respectively in Delhi, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said in a written reply.

The Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Thursday gave a new ruling on Rule 377 under which MPs have a right to raise Matters related to Urgent Public Importance. She said that MP will now have to make a Statement on the floor of the House on the issues they want to raise under this Rule.

Earlier, under Rule 377, MPs had to table their statement on the floor of the House.  But after Speaker's ruling today, MPs will have to now read their statement word by word.
