Discussion on budget starts in Lok Sabha

Finally discussion about Union Budget starts in Lok Sabha. Mulayam Singh says "bure din" have started with budget. He says that government has no excuse to not deliver in their promises as they enjoy majority. Mulayam alleges that no work has been done in the last one and half months. 

Udit Raj of BJP blames the UPA regime for poor financial condition of the country. Sugato Basu of TMC says that his party is in favour of introduction of GST. Bose slams the government for not allocating enough fund for the educational sector. 

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj clarifies that Indian High Commission in Pakistan has submitted report that they were unaware of Vaidik meeting Hafiz Saeed. 

Swaraj said she had made it clear earlier too and "I am again saying with full responsibility that the government had nothing to do with either the visit of Vaidik (to Pakistan) or his meeting with Saeed." Her statement came after the Congress and RJD members trooped into the Well, with Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge asking if the Ministers can make a statement on the matter outside Parliament or even in Rajya Sabha, "Why can't they do it here (Lok Sabha)."

Uproar in Parliament over refusal to table debates on Palestine issue: 

A battle of words ensued between Hamid Ansari and INC leader Anand Sharma over debates on Palestine issue. While Ansari clearly mentioned that the Palestine issue could not be raised in the first hour of the parliament and the government was fixing a date for the same according to rules, Venkaiah Naidu also targetted the speaker.

The left Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M) spoke about the debates including railway budget and said that no revised list pertaining to Palestine issue can be circulated without permission from the government. He said, "We are violating the constitution of India." 

"Please allow debates on Israel-Palestine on human grounds. Rail budget can wait", said Sharad Yadav, JD(U) leader.
