Delhi is still under the President's rule, and so the Central government is reading out Delhi Budget in Lok Sabha. The biggest demand in the Budget was for increased power subsidies as the electricity bills have been rising in the city amidst acute shortage of power. But no mention of this was made in Jaitley's Budget.
Rajya Sabha is adjourned during Question hour till 2.30 pm demanding immediate discussion on killings of innocent women and children in Gaza. The government said the discussion could be held on Monday while the opposition wanted it immediately.
Oppositon members want Monday to be set as the date for discussion. But Jaitley says this has been tabled as of now. Discussion can be held later, before passing it. The sepaker agrees too.
