OPINION: Recharging system need of hour

In the last couple of years, due to climate change, the number of days of rainfall has reduced but the number of days of excessive rainfall has increased substantially. The vagaries of monsoon have become unmanageable for communities and the government. Also, due to large-scale concretisation, water is not getting percolated. The need of the hour is to develop a recharge system in such a way that the rainwater finds its way to the underground table and charge the aquifers.
