On his visit to one of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi, Trudeau wrote in the visitors' book that it was "a beautiful place of peace, humility and truth, that is as needed today as it ever was." He later visited Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar.
Trudeau's visit to Gujarat is the first by a Canadian prime minister.
He had visited Taj Mahal in Agra on the second day of his India visit on Sunday. He also visited a wildlife sanctuary in Mathura's Churmura with his family.
The Canadian Prime Minister's week-long state visit to India includes stops in Agra, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

Trudeau will hold wide-ranging talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 23. The next day, he is scheduled to address a conference of young change-makers before wrapping up his visit.
