Lashkar-e-Toiba on Saturday warned of attacks against India to avenge the execution of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru in Tihar jail. “India will have to pay for this act”, Lashkar spokesman Abdullah Gaznavi told local media organisations over phone.
Gaznavi denounced the hanging of Afzal hanging saying he was not given the fair trail.
The statements of Lashkar has come at a time when security forces have maintained pressure on the ultras who are facing manpower shortage in the state.
Experts believe that the Lashkar might try to cash in on this execution to lure the youth to militancy to replenish their depleting numbers.
