Pro and anti Afzal Guru Netizens are battling it out on the social media  in Jammu and Kashmir.

“No more photos of Paradise from us. Indians have yet again decided to turn the vale of Kashmir into hell. Are you interested to see the deserted streets of Kashmir & peoples grievances, anger and orphans demanding dead body of their father”, reads the post of Paradise Kashmir on face book.

Prominent human rights activist Khurram Parvez drew the parallels of Afzal Guru hanging with JKLF leader Maqbool Bhat’s execution.

“29 years ago same month Maqbool Butt was hanged to retaliate the killing of Indian diplomat Mahatre. Today by hanging Afzal Guru in a secretive manner, after denying fair trial to him, for satisfying the collective conscience of Indian nation, the Government of India like fascists has hanged him to use it for domestic electoral gains and in retaliation of the recent LoC beheading. Maqbool Butt's hanging radicalized one generation, Afzal Guru's hanging is going to radicalize present and future youths of Kashmir”, he said.

“No need of logic when Kashmiris are to be punished for their innocence and as the mantra chanted by all responsible law has taken its course”, said Qurrat ul Ain on face book.

But there were voices who supported the hanging of Afzal Guru.  “Late but right decision”.  Prince Yadav commented on face book.  “Finally Congress party have started doing good work”, added Mandy Kapoor.

People shared photographs and videos besides uploading insignias on the face book. Even the photos of injured in clashes were uploaded on the face book.

The campaign is similar to 2010 when youth used social medial to mobilise protests in Kashmir valley.
