A 19-year-old was arrested in Odisha for raping a three-year-old girl, police said onThursday.
The man, who was a friend of the victim's father, allegedly lured the girl to come with him at a secluded place where he raped her Tuesday night, Srimanta Barik, chief of the Bolangir police station, told IANS.
The rapist later left the victim near her house. Family members rushed the toddler to hospital when the saw blood on her and subsequently informed the police.
The victim's father later lodged a complaint with the Bolangir police station, about 325 km from here.
Police have arrested the man after the victim disclosed his name, Barik said.
The minor is undergoing treatment and her condition is stable, police said.
