A student in her mid twenties was molested allegedly by a group of young men near Sealdah railway station today with other students from her college setting up a road block in protest in the metropolis.
The students blocked the APC Road to protest the molestation which took place when the student of Rajabazar Science College was alighting from a bus near Sealdah.
The protestors were persuaded by the police to lift the blockade.
The college filed a complaint on the molestation with the police.
"A case has been registered. We have started the investigation. But the main problem is that the victim is not ready to come to the police. We need a version from her for the progress of the case," Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ), Javed Shamim told reporters.
