A 22-year-old woman was set on fire allegedly by her stalker in Sasni area, police said in Hathras on Tuesday.
The woman was set on fire by the accused when she was alone at home in Luharra village last night, they said.
The girl, who sustained ninety per cent burns, was rushed to the district hospital from where she was referred to Aligarh Medical College, Superintendent of Police Happy Guptan said.
The girl's father also sustained burn injuries when he tried to save her, Guptan said.
The accused, a native of the same village, had been stalking her for some time due to which she had stopped going to college, the SP said. Police is probing the matter.
