Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi attacked Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president, Arjun Modhwadia during his public meetings on Monday.
In Porbandar, while addressing Sonia Gandhi as Sonia Madam, he said that Congress party which had lost trust even among its own workers can’t be trusted by the people. Without naming Modhwadia, Modi said that he never lives in Porbandar among people, but resides in a posh bungalow in Ahmedabad.
Appealing mainly to the Kharva voters at Porbandar, he said that if Babu Bokhiria – the BJP candidate from Porbandar, did not listen to you just can come to me and I will complete your work in minutes.
Modi also spoke about Nano plant and Maruti car manufacturing plant saying that it is the locals who are ultimately going to benefit due to these projects, as they bring more development in the area.
He didn’t forget to remind people that he had not taken a single holiday for last 11 years of his tenure as Gujarat CM.
In Viramgam, Modi said that the Congress party had lost its confidence and is afraid of the consequences of the elections.
Modi’s first public meeting was held in Viramgam in Ahmedabad rural, followed by the meetings at Chotila and Porbandar. He said that BJP had already gained the trust of the people of Gujarat, while Congress is currently hiding its face.
Addressing a huge gathering at Chotila, he asked people to vote for someone they had already tested for 11 years. He said Gujarat will not be safe in the hands of Congress party. Attacking the Congress on the issue of corruption, he said that people of Gujarat should teach them a lesson.
He rake up the issue of cotton farmers and attacked the Central government for stopping the cotton export which resulted into a loss of Rs7,000 crore to the farmers of Gujarat.
He also listed the development in the field of agriculture under his regime.
