Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board’s (GSHSEB) class XI physics board examination held on Thursday had wrong options for answers worth 11 marks. However, any decision in this regard will be taken only after Diwali.
Two four-mark questions and one three-mark question had options incorrectly mentioned in the question paper. “I kept on trying to get the answer but couldn’t,” said a student of a city-based school.
A total of 10,751 students from Ahmedabad (city) had registered for the exam of which 10,726 students appeared for the exam.
A GSHSEB official said, “This is a routine thing. GSHSEB will look into the issue soon after Diwali. Experts will be called and the issue will be sorted out after checking whether the options mentioned were really incorrect.”
However, Hitendra Trivedi, principal of CN Vidyalaya said, “GSHSEB should have repeatedly checked the question paper before presenting it in the exam. These mistakes will create panic among students.”
