Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi would launch the integration of five government schemes with Aadhar card system on October 20 in Dudu area near here.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot today took the stock of preparations for the event in Dudu and directed the officials to make sure proper arrangements, official sources said today.
The schemes including MGNREGA, Mukhyamantri BPL Gramin Awas Yojna, Pension scheme under social security, Asha Sehyogini payment and Chief Minister's Scholarship scheme will be integrated with the Aadhaar card, which was launched two years back, they said.
Aadhaar, a 12-digit individual identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the Government of India, serve as a proof of identity and address anywhere in the country.
Its linkage with the schemes will ensure that the advantage of the scheme reaches the real beneficiaries, they added.
This would be Gandhi's second visit to the state in less than two months. She visited Barmer to inaugurate Barmer lift canal and Jaipur to meet victims of heavy rains on August 30.
