Actor Margot Robbie says he latest film I, Tonya has taught her not to judge people instantly.

The 27-year-old actor plays real-life Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding in the new biopic - based on the true events, which saw Tonya's now-ex-husband Jeff Gilooly plot with her self-appointed bodyguard, Shawn Eckhardt, to take out her rival Nancy Kerrigan to pave the way for her spot on the US team.

"To judge a person on a five-second news flash is so wrong but we all do it every single day. After this experience, I think I'm trying to make an effort to not judge people so harshly and quickly," Robbie told Mirror online.

Robbie produced the awards season favourite under her own production company named LuckyChap Entertainment.

Robbie has picked up nominations in Best Actress category in every award that have been announced so far. But so far has failed to convert that opportunity into a win.

Latest she lost BAFTA 2018 to Frances McDormand who won it for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

She is also nominated in the Best Actress category for Oscars 2018. This time, even if she doesn't win, she will have a chance to get up on stage as she has been picked by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to be one of the presenters at the 90th Academy Awards. She will share these duties with Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Laura Dern, Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Kumail Nanjiani, Mahershala Ali, Emma Stone, and Daniela Vega.

Robbie was "hesitant" to take up the role of Tonya Harding in I, Tonya as she feared that if she fails she will not get another opportunity to play a film's lead again.

"I feel like guys get a few more chances to be the lead in a flop. If you're a woman, and it flops? Good luck getting another one," she added.
