Only a few weeks have left until Avengers: Infinity War hits theatres on April 27. Touted as 'most ambitious crossover event in history' by the fans, the movie features who's who of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the movie is tracking to make some new box office records, people are having fun with the concept of the crossover as well.

Fandoms get buzzing with new theories whenever new promotional material comes out for Avengers: Infinity War. There is very little to go on and the case will remain same until the movie releases because director duo Russo Brothers have decided to show only a few clippings of the movie when they embark on the press tour.

A new addition to the promos are the character posters released on Wednesday. These posters feature 22 characters from the movie, leaving many other players in the dark.

From Iron Man aka Tony Stark to Black Panther aka T'Challa superheroes from all the corners of MCU have been summoned and are unmasked as they face evil Titan Thanos.

Let's take a look at these posters and see if we can uncover new clues

Iron Man

Iron Man's new armour is hugging too close to his chiselled body. His armour has refined abs now. The suit is possibly adapted from Shuri's technology used for Black Panther suit. From the looks of it, the main arc reactor that powers the suit is getting a boost from six miniatures incorporated in the suit. The look on Iron Man's face is not offering any comfort to anyone.

Captain America

That Dorito back will no longer bear the burden of that iconic Vibranium shield. Instead, scruffy Captain America will be utilising advanced Wakandan technique to wield upgraded pop-up shields against Thanos. Resilient look on Captain's face shows his determination to save Earth, no matter what.

Black Panther

Claws out! Black Panther opened his empire for the world to see, to share tech, to help everyone evolve. Little did he know Thanos' plans to take down Earth will begin in Wakanda. The trailers and TV spots so far show a massive battle erupting between Wakandan army and Thanos' creatures. How will T'Challa save his people?

Doctor Strange

Doctor Steven Strange is one of the few Avengers who has dealt with evil TPTBs of other dimensions. He will pair up with Iron Man, The Hulk, Spider-Man to take down Thanos. Thanos, on the other hand, would like to obliterate Strange and get the Time Stone. The promotional material so far shows that Strange is safe so far. Will his negotiation skills with Dormammu come in handy?

Thor

At the end of Thor: Ragnarok, the Asgardian came across a massive spaceship that is speculated to be of Thanos. He and Loki are separated. While the Norse God meets Guardians of the Galaxy and team up with Rocket and Groot, Loki seems to be changing his allegiance one more time by surrendering Tesseract. The new poster shows that the cape is back so are the quilted sleeves. New eye patch adds badassery to the signature look adapted from his father's style.

Black Widow

Black Widow is blonde now. The new poster shows new batons from her armoury. The cuffs on her wrists seem to have gotten an upgrade because we can see wing shaped attachments on them. She is seen fighting side by side with Okoye of Wakanda, taking care of Vision and Scarlett Witch. She was the glue holding Avengers together in Captain America: Civil War. How will she tackle Thanos and his children?

Spider-Man

Meet Iron Spider-Man up and close. Peter Parker has finally accepted the new suit from Iron Man and is thrilled to be part of Avengers for once. He is going to hit it off with Doctor Strange.Youngest Avenger has a lot to catch up in very short time.

Gamora and Nebula

Thanos' two daughters are looking for ways to kill their evil father. While Nebula will have no qualms about it, Gamora's shots from the trailers show that it will be a difficult journey for the member of Guardians of the Galaxy. Especially with the reduced size of her sword.

Okoye and Shuri

Okoye will struggle with so many outsiders coming into the country. The trailers show her fight side by side with Black Widow, but that's your soldier reporting for duty, looking at the bigger picture. This exchange of fighting tactics between two badass supers will be a treat to watch. Shuri, on the other hand, may have time of her life exchanging her knowledge and ideas with Science Bros, The Vision, Doctor Strange, possibly Rocket, and Peter Parker (did I forget other geeks/nerds of MCU?)

The Winter Soldier

In Black Panther, we saw The Winter Soldier become White Wolf. Based on the comic book arcs, one can say that Bucky Barnes is no longer under the influence of the Winter Soldier commands. Reformation comes with perks that include new and improved arm and a chance to fight on the side of the good guys.

Scarlett Witch and The Vision

The love story that has potential to break hearts. The Vision is what he is because of the Mind Stone. Thanos needs that for his Infinity Gauntlet. Simple maths demands Vision to die in order to Thanos get what he desires. But this movie features massive battles to keep that from happening. In the trailers, The Vision is seen in Shuri's lab in Wakanda. This proximity hints at a way to have Mind Stone removed from The Vision without killing him. Good news?

The Hulk

No new armour for the green guy. But his Bruce Banner avatar will have to deal with abandoning Black Widow after she confessed to having feelings for him in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Star-Lord

Star-Lord aka Peter Quill could serve as the expert on space villains for the Avengers who haven't left planet Earth yet. In the trailers, he has made it clear that his plan will be better than what Iron Man and Spider-Man have come up with.

The Sidekicks

War Machine and The Falcon

Rocket, Groot and Mantis

Drax and Wong

Yes, once again, Hawkeye is no show.
