Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey earlier took to his Instagram page to inform fans that he would engage in a conversation with Sadhguru. The interview went live on Wednesday, on YouTube. The Oscar-winning actor's discussion with the spiritual guru pertained to Karma, crafting one's destiny, the connection between yoga and religion, and exploring the unknown.

The official description of the video on YouTube reads: "Academy Award-winning actor @Matthew McConaughey asks Sadhguru about Karma, crafting one's destiny, the connection between yoga and religion, and exploring the unknown. Sadhguru offers insights on how we should not confuse our lifestyle a consequence of the times we live in with life, the real thing!"

In the video, Sadhguru is heard talking about dreams by stating, "People keep coming to me and say, ‘Sadhguru, please bless me this should happen that should happen'. I tell them see, my blessing is may all your dreams not come true. They get shocked (laughs)."

He further says, "What can you dream of? Right now I don’t know what you are drinking, suppose it’s coffee. If you have had one cup of coffee, maybe you will dream of a parallel coffee. If you have a million dollars, maybe you will think of a billion dollars. I am saying all your dreams are just exaggerations of what you already know. If you go like this, you are ensuring that nothing new ever happens to you. So my blessing is ‘may your dreams not come true', ‘may things that you could never dream of happening to you’. If you have to be an open possibility like this, we must understand, that is why karma is very important. Karma means it’s the bedrock of your memory. It’s the bedrock of memory means who you are right now as a person."

The 'Interstellar' star who was left spellbound on hearing Sadhguru's words quipped, "You say, ‘I hope your dreams do not come true’, I loved that!"

To which Sadhguru replied, "Don’t tell everybody, they will curse me!"

The actor's recently-released book "Greenlights", too, speaks about the discovery of life. "Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries. I found stories I experienced, lessons I learned and forgot, poems, prayers, prescriptions, beliefs about what matters, some great photographs, and a whole bunch of bumper stickers," McConaughey said on the official website of his novel.

"I found a reliable theme, an approach to living that gave me more satisfaction, at the time, and still: If you know-how, and when, to deal with life's challenges? How to get relative with the inevitable you can enjoy a state of success I call catching green lights," he added.

Describing it as a "love letter to life", he added: "Hopefully, it's a medicine that tastes good, a couple of aspirin instead of the infirmary, a spaceship to Mars without needing your pilot`s license, going to church without having to be born again, and laughing through the tears. It's a love letter. To life."
