"I want to say thank you for coming out and doing your part and voting," Rudd can be heard saying in one video shared on Twitter.

As per a report in CNN, Brian Rosenworcel, drummer for the band Guster, recorded the video of Rudd giving out cookies and posted it on Twitter. He was quoted telling the publication, "I was standing in line and I thought Paul was just there to vote, but then he starts handing out cookies to people in line. And he waited to greet people as they exited to say thanks for voting in the rain."

Immediately after posting, Rosenworcel's video on Twitter went viral and has approximately 4.7 millions views, over eleven thousand retweets and more than fifty-five thousand likes on the micro-blogging site.
