Continuing the narrative set by Jennifer Lawrence last year, Tye Sheridan has also said that X-Men: Dark Phoenix is a more drama than a superhero movie.

In an interview with The Wrap at South by Southwest in Austin Texas, Sheridan teased that Jean Grey aka Phoenix goes 'crazy' in the movie.

“Well, Cyclops doesn’t think she’s going crazy — Cyclops just thinks she’s gotta work some stuff out.

"It’s interesting, the drama in the movie. We treated this movie as much more of a drama versus a superhero film,” he said.

Lawrence who plays Raven aka Mystique in X-Men movies had said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that all the characters in the movie are taking the biggest, most extreme dives into their emotions than they have in the whole series.

But to keep those who want to see the mutant fight scenes hooked Lawrence added, "We have really great action scenes and we go to space like within the first five minutes of the movie."

Sophie Turner who plays Jean Grey promised a 'whole new genre of superhero movie' in her latest interview.

If these words are true, then this shall be the third experiment with the X-Men characters breaking the mould.

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool was the most honest portrayal of the Merc with Mouth, very true to the comic book rendition. Then last year, Hugh Jackman took an unadulterated version of Wolverine in Logan, making it the swan song for his character.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix also stars Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, Olivia Munn, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters and Alexandra Shipp.

Directed by Simon Kinberg, the movie is scheduled to release on November 2
