Fans across the globe were in for a shock last week when news poured in about Mac Miller’s death. The 26-year-old rapper was found in his bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home and pronounced dead on the spot. While the exact cause of death has not been officially             revealed, it is believed that he suffered from a drug overdose. Various artistes reacted to the news saying they were “absolutely heartbroken.” Those like ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande expressed her dismay at being unable to save him. Anthony Bourdain

The celebrity chef and writer passed away this June after committing suicide. Anthony was in France shooting for an episode of Parts Unknown, when he was found unresponsive in his hotel room by friend Eric Ripert. His death came as a shock with various other celebrity chefs expressing their disbelief at the news. 

He was honoured posthumously with six Emmy wins at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys.

Kate Spade

The 55-year-old fashion designer and founder of brand Kate Spade known for clothing, footwear, and other accessories, was found dead at her New York residence a few months ago. Kate, who committed suicide, had suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. The designer’s housekeeper had found her and called for help.

Avicii

The Swedish DJ and producer, Tim Bergling aka Avicii, died this April 20 at the age of 28. The Wake Me Up hitmaker was found dead in Muscat, Oman, with suicide later being revealed as the cause. He had retired from live performances in 2016 due to health reasons and was suffering from acute pancreatitis.

Mark Salling

The 35-year-old Glee actor committed suicide this January, weeks before he was due to be jailed for possession of child abuse images. He had pleaded guilty to possession of the images in October last year and was awaiting his sentencing.
