'Shazam!' first trailer introduces playful side of the superhero world

It's all about 'wham bam, you are welcome ma'am' in the superhero universe. But the latest trailer for Shazam! that released on Saturday at San Diego-Comic-Con brings you a playful superhero with a heart of a teenager.

Billy Batson is an orphan who lives in a foster care with other kids. All Billy wants is to be invisible and keep to himself. Universe has different plans. When his foster-brother gets bullied in school, Billy stands up for him. This is when Wizard Shazam chooses Billy to gift him the superpowers to do good in the world.

What happens next?

First of all, Billy turns into a full-grown man ie Shazam (Zachry Levi). Then follows a series of trial and error test of what are the superpowers Shazam has and how he can wield them. Also figure out how to pee in a supersuit.

Shazam! also stars Jack Dylan Grazer as Billy’s best friend and ultimate superhero enthusiast, Freddy. Foster family members are Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, and Jovan Armand. Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans play foster parents, Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou as the Wizard.

Shazam! is slated to release in April 2019
