Actor Scott Eastwood said he would like to play adamantium clawed-mutant Wolverine now that Hugh Jackman has bid adieu to the popular role.

Eastwood told ComicBook when asked which superhero he would most like to play. "I mean, Logan! You gotta give it to Wolverine! Wolverine, all day."

Logan was played by Hugh Jackman until very recently.

First appearing as Wolverine in X-Men in 2000, Jackman went on to reprise the role in now fewer-than-seven follow-up movies but bowed out from the Marvel franchise after Logan released earlier this year.

Since then, Jackman has moved on to be part of The Greatest Showman. It is a musical about the story of PT Barnum, a visionary who rose from nothing to created a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation called Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Scott Eastwood, on the other hand, will be next seen in action movie Pacific Rim Uprising playing Nate Lambert and co-piloting a massive Jaeger with John Boyega.
