While Disney is struggling to find an actor to play the role of Aladdin, Twitterati is working overtime to suggest a few names to the filmmaker, Guy Ritchie. And then came out reports of Siddharth Gupta playing the part which is completely false.

Reports suggest that Siddharth Gupta has been zeroed in the role of Aladdin, while Will Smith is already been finalised for the role of Genie. Siddharth Gupta is the same actor who made his Bollywood debut in Ekta Kapoor's Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi. But Bollywood Life checked with Siddharth's elder brother and producer Vikas Gupta who is known for shows like MTV's Kaisi Hai Yaarian, he neither confirmed not denied the news. He chose to take a 'no comment' stand. Bollywood Life even checked with Disney India who told them that the reports are false, and that the studios are yet to zero in on the lead actors. If they do, the first people to know the truth would be the team in India, who are completely clueless about the whole development.

After the success of The Beauty and The Beast and The Jungle Book's live action movies doing well, Disney has plans to remake 1992 animated classic, Aladdin now. Touted to be yet another romantic adventure with lots of songs, Disney is having troubles finding the lead couple, Aladdin and Jasmine. Reports are abuzz about Power Ranger's Naomi and Disney channel's Tara Sutaria being auditioned for the role of the princess. But Aladdin's hunt is still on as they can't find an actor in his 20s and who can sing and dance as well. Twitter couldn't digest Disney's troubles and suggested Dev Patel as Aladdin and Priyanka Chopra for the part of princess Jasmine.

But Disney is yet to decide.
