In a shocking turn of events Mission: Impossible - Fallout star Ving Rhames was held at gunpoint by the police in his own home in Santa Monica, California. Rhames made the confession during an interview with The Clay Cane Show.

Cane asked the actor, who has been playing the character of Luther Stickell in Mission: Impossible franchise from the very beginning, about his experience with everyday racism in the United States of America.

Rhames revealed that earlier this year, one of his neighbours called 911 and told the operator that he saw a 'large black man' broken into a home. Several police officers, including the chief of police, showed up at Rhames doorsteps with a police dog in tow.

"I open the door and there is a red dot pointed at my face from a 9-mm. They say put up your hands, literally.  I just walked and opened up the door....Then they said 'open the front screen door.' They say do it with one hand so then I have to do it with one hand. My hands are up and they have me outside," Rhames said.

Reportedly, the chief of police recognised Rhames and told his officers to stand down. The incident left Rhames feeling lucky but worried about his son.

“My problem is, as I said this to them, what if it was my son and he had a video game remote or something and you thought it was a gun?” Rhames asked.

Rhames is not the first African-American celeb with this kind of experience. NBA Star Sterling Brown was roughed up in a parking lot. Tennis star Serena Williams' elder half-sister Yetunde Price was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Compton in 2003.
