People were already keen for the release of Marvel Studios' Black Panther next month and now, it looks like fans will have one more reason to tune in as the movie is all set to get a soundtrack from Kendrick Lamar.

The studio has enlisted Grammy-award winning rapper Kendrick Lamar to curate and produce the soundtrack with Anthony Tiffith, reports the Independent.

The confirmation came with the release of lead single All the Stars by Lamar ft. SZA.

The easy note of the song gives a lounge feeling to it. Shall we expect it to be one of the songs played at a casino when T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) is scoping for enemies with his Dora Milaje guards Nakai (Lupita Nyong'o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira)?

But when Lamar's lyrics go,

Tell me what you gon' do to me

Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me

You can bring a bullet, bring a sword

Bring a morgue, but you can't bring the truth to me

One can wonder if this is T'Challa addressing a lover or enemy, Erik Killmonger (Michael B Jordan).

In a statement issued by the 'Humble' hit-maker, he emphasised how Black Panther is going to be something more than an average superhero movie.

He noted, "Marvel Studios' Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I'm truly honoured to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside (Coolger) and Marvel's vision."

Lamar had dropped a big hint about his involvement via his video for 'Love', where at the mark of 1.54, the footage shows a clapperboard held in front of him, with the words 'B. Panther Soundtrack Coming Soon' written on it.

Lamar and Sza are two of the rising powerhouses of hip-hop music. The combination of the duo seems to only add to the star value of the latest Marvel offering. DAMN. singer is nominated in seven categories for Grammy Awards 2018. SZA follows him with five nominations.

Ryan Coogler, who previously directed the spinoff-sequel to the Rocky films Creed, hand-picked Lamar for the job.

"I am honoured to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film", noted Coogler.

Black Panther follows King T'Challa (aka The Black Panther) and his journey to protect his nation of Wakanda from enemies and prevent a possible world war.

The movie stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular hero, alongside Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira.

The flick is slated to release on February 16.
