Jaret Leto is bringing back his character of Joker in a new look from 2016's Suicide Squad in the upcoming Zack Snyder's Justice League. Zack, on Tuesday, shared the first look of Jared Leto's character, quoting a report from Variety. In the photo, Leto can be seen wearing a hospital gown and surgical mask. Snyder released the pictures exclusively to Vanity Fair.

A spoiler was also announced which read, "Joker appears in the new film during a sequence set on a ruined Earth after the alien tyrant Darkseid invades and decimates the planet. It’s a dream sequence, a psychic vision, experienced by Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne that reveals what will happen if the superheroes fail to stop the onslaught. Joker is sort of the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, supplying motivation through terror."

Check out the photos below.

Speaking about the same, Snyder said, "The cool thing about the scene is that its Joker talking directly to Batman about Batman. It’s Joker analyzing Batman about who he is and what he is. That’s the thing I also felt like fans deserved from the DC Universe. That is to say, the Jared Leto Joker and the Ben Affleck Batman, they never really got together. It seemed uncool to me that we would make it through this incarnation of Batman and Joker without seeing them come together."

For the uninformed, Snyder was originally set to direct Justice League but had stepped down from directing duties after the death of his daughter Autumn in March 2017, due to suicide. Joss Whedon then took over the director's chair to complete the film, which was released later that year.

In May of 2020, Snyder announced his cut of the film would be debuting on HBO Max in 2021 after a constant fan campaign asking for his version to be released. The film will now be released as four hour-long episodes.

The movie features the epic team-up of DC universe superheroes: Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill's Superman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ezra Miller's The Flash, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg.

Justice League's Snyder Cut is set to be streamed on HBO Max from March 18, 2021.
