Actor Blake Lively has deleted all her Instagram posts and is now following only 27 people named Emily Nelson.

The 30-year-old actor's social media account has been a fan favourite with over 20.4 million followers courtesy her fashion posts and pranks on husband Ryan Reynolds, but users were left stunned when they found her official page completely blank.

Her last, now-deleted, post was a photo of a completed game of Hangman, the answer to which was: ''What happened to Emily?'' The cryptic question is now Lively's Instagram biography. She has also removed her display picture.

Lively's blank Instagram and sudden obsession with Emily Nelson hints at her upcoming film, A Simple Favor.

The movie, directed by Paul Feig and also starring Anna Kendrick, is an adaptation of a book by the same name in which a woman named Emily Nelson mysteriously vanishes.
Some of the Emily Nelsons on social media were left wondering, publicly, why the Hollywood star has suddenly started following them.

"Does anyone want to tell me why Blake Lively followed me and had this as a bio. Goodbye, cruel world some hacker is anti-Emily, my time has come," one Emily Nelson said.

She quickly tweeted again, noticing that Reynolds, 41, had liked her tweet.
