Hugh Jackman revealed that it was Jerry Seinfeld's words that convinced him to rest Wolverine's adamantium claws with Logan.

Hugh Jackman and Willem Dafoe were talking to each other on Variety's Actors on Actors series. During that conversation, Jackman said, "I was asking him (Jerry Seinfeld) about the end of the series (Seinfeld). I said, 'How did you decide?' And the long story, he kind of said, 'Look, I've always believed ... you should never spend everything creatively because it's almost herculean to start up again. You should always have something in the tank. Leave the party before it gets too late ... and then somehow it spurs you into the next thing'."

After the conversation, Jackman said that he told his wife Deborra-lee Furness that he just knows that Logan will be his last Wolverine movie.

He revealed that the next morning he woke up with a very strong idea of how he will treat his character.

"Treating him not like a superhero but as a human being who’s lived a life of violence," Jackman said. "Let's make a movie about the ramifications of violence. I was thinking The Wrestler, The Unforgiven."

Starting in the year 2000, Jackman played the mutant character for a total of nine movies. His last outing as the X-Men character was loved by critics and audience alike with the movie scoring 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and more than $814 million at the worldwide box office.

Hugh Jackman will be next seen in The Greatest Showman, playing PT Barnum.
